We focus on enhancing constructed wetlands (CWs) for wastewater treatment and water recovery, particularly in rural areas where traditional infrastructure may be limited. Our mission is to harness the potential of these eco-friendly systems to improve water efficiency, promote circular economies, and support resilient agricultural practices in the face of climate change.

Our Vision is to revolutionize decentralized wastewater treatment through cutting-edge technological innovations, particularly the integration of nanomaterials and advanced AI tools. By upgrading CWs with innovative solutions such as nanostructured filters, photocatalytic modules, and automated sensors, CIRQUA is improving the quality of treated water and reducing environmental pollutants. This enables the safe reuse of treated water and CW biomass for irrigation and fertilization, empowering local communities to embrace sustainable agriculture and water management practices.
